I would love to be cashed up, but I am not. Therefore spending a lot of money on a gym isn’t for me. So aside from the savings made, I love the fact the fact I can get outdoors and get fit as well. I either take a walk, or go for a swim in an outdoor pool when the weather is good or use an indoor one. Mainly I go for walks.
What is the benefit of not using a gym to exercise?
- As stated before you will save on the cost of a gym membership and anything else extra for the gym and that is also a locker to keep your valuables in.
- You will see and experience the outdoors all while getting fit. Exercise with a view makes it easier and more fun to do the exercise and not so much of a chore.
- According to a Sydney Morning Herald article 58 per cent of Australians are vitamin D deficient. As the article points out you will not find vitamin D in a gym and of course getting your dose in the great outdoors is the way to go. Vitamin D makes you feel better, and helps many other things, such as mood, muscles and bones. So rather than pay for vitamin D pills go out and get it for free.
